Dates for the annual cereals, soft fruit and potato industry events supported by the Scottish Society for Crop Research have been announced. Cereals in Practice will be held on 2 July, Fruit for the Future on 18 July and Potatoes in Practice on 8 August 2013.
Cereals in Practice will once again be held at Burnside Farm, Stanley in Perthshire this year. It is for farmers, agronomists, industry and scientists working with cereals. It runs from 4-8pm.
Fruit for the Future will be held at the James Hutton Institute's Dundee site at Invergowrie from 1.30-5.30pm. The event showcases developments in the James Hutton Institute’s soft fruit breeding and research programmes.
Potatoes in Practice will be hosted at the James Hutton Institute's Balruddery Farm, near Dundee from 8.30am - 5.30pm. It is the UK's biggest field potato event and for the first time this year will feature live machinery demonstrations.
